Personalized price
Since every character is different, the final quote depends on modeling difficulty, painting details, wig work, and add-ons.
Ready to start your commission?
Message us on Discord with your character name, reference images, preferred mask version, destination country, and any special requirements. Our team will help you confirm whether the design is suitable for Kiglover 3.0 or Kiglover Lite.
Tip: Clear references help us quote faster. Please include character images, hairstyle details, eye style, accessories, skin tone, and whether you need extra props or special structures.
Step 2:Custom-modeled for your character
Custom-modeled for your character.
Each kigu mask is modeled according to the customer’s character references and design requirements. We do not simply reuse one standard model for every order. Before painting, wig styling, and final assembly, we create a base model preview so you can check the overall shape, facial proportions, expression, and key structural details at an early stage.
Custom Modeling
Built for your character
We create the base model according to your character’s face shape, eye placement, mouth design, side profile, and overall silhouette. Each model is made for the specific character, not copied from a single shared template.
Customer Review
You check the details
At this step, you can review whether the model captures the feeling of your character and point out anything that needs adjustment.
Revision Stage
Changes are welcome here
This is the ideal time to request changes to the shape, expression, proportions, and visible structure before the model is finalized.
Custom-modeled for your character, then revised until you are satisfied.
Every character has different facial features, proportions, expression, and overall feeling. That is why we create a dedicated base model for each customer’s character instead of using the same model for every order. After the modeling preview is sent, you can request modifications until you are happy with the result.
Why this matters: a custom-modeled base helps the final mask look closer to your character’s actual design. Since major structural changes become much harder after painting, wig styling, and assembly begin, we confirm the base model with you first.
Step 3:Printing & Sanding
Printed with high-quality resin.
Once the custom base model is confirmed, we move it into the physical production stage. For Kiglover 3.0 kigurumi masks, our standard production uses high-quality light-cured resin printing. We do not use PLA, PETG, or other FDM-style printing methods for Kiglover 3.0 masks unless specifically requested by the customer.
Approved Model
Printed after confirmation
Printing begins only after the base model has been reviewed and approved. This helps make sure the physical mask follows the confirmed character shape before production continues.
Resin Printing
High-quality light-cured resin
Kiglover 3.0 masks are printed using high-quality light-cured resin as our standard method. This allows us to create a cleaner and more refined base shell for later surface finishing.
Hand Sanding
Surface preparation by hand
After printing, we carefully sand the surface by hand to refine edges, smooth the shell, and prepare a better base for painting and final finishing.
Kiglover 3.0 uses resin printing as the standard.
For Kiglover 3.0 kigurumi masks, we use high-quality light-cured resin printing instead of PLA, PETG, or other common FDM-style printing methods. Resin printing helps create a more refined base for the mask. After printing, we hand-sand the shell to improve the surface before painting.
Why this matters: material choice and surface preparation directly affect the final finish. A high-quality resin-printed base, combined with careful hand sanding, helps the later painting, detailing, and final presentation look cleaner and more polished.
Step 4:Kigu Mask Art
Bringing the character’s face to life.
After the printed base has been sanded and prepared, we begin the kigu mask art stage. This is where the character’s facial details, colors, expression, and overall visual style are carefully painted onto the mask. For Kiglover 3.0, the mask art is customized for the character rather than using one fixed standard look.
Custom Mask Art
Painted for the character
The face is painted according to the character reference, including skin tone, blush, mouth details, facial shadows, expression, and other visible character features.
Progress Checkpoint
Painting progress is shared
During this checkpoint, we share kigu mask art progress with the customer. You can request adjustments related to the current painting stage within technical boundaries.
Paint & Protection
Model paints and protective finish
We use model paints such as Mr. Hobby or other suitable model paints for the painting process, and protective paints such as Tamiya or other model paints for the finishing layer.
You can review the mask art before we move forward.
The kigu mask art stage is one of the key production checkpoints. This is the best time to check color balance, facial expression, blush, mouth details, eye-area style, and other painted character features. Revision requests should focus on this stage and remain technically possible for the current production progress.
Why this matters: mask art is what turns the prepared shell into a recognizable character face. Careful color matching, facial detailing, and protective finishing help the final mask look closer to the original character design.
Step 5:Choose wig structure
Several wig structures are available.
Different characters may require different wig structures depending on hairstyle, wearing habits, and maintenance preferences. Kiglover supports several common kigu mask wig structures, including full detachable wigs, non-detachable wigs, and detachable bangs wigs.
Full Detachable Wig
For hairstyle changes
A full detachable wig is suitable for characters with multiple hairstyles or for situations where the entire wig may need to be removed or replaced in the future. This structure gives more flexibility, but it usually requires more maintenance and can be harder to wear alone.
Non-Detachable Wig
Fixed and easier to maintain
A non-detachable wig is fixed onto the kigu mask. It is generally easier to wear by yourself, requires less frequent maintenance, and helps keep the hairstyle stable. However, it cannot be fully removed or replaced like a detachable wig.
Detachable Bangs Wig
Removable front bangs
A detachable bangs wig keeps the back part of the wig fixed while allowing the bangs section to be removed. This structure can be useful when the front hairstyle needs extra flexibility while the back of the wig remains stable.
The wig structure is selected according to the character and usage needs.
Some characters may need a fully detachable wig for hairstyle changes, while others may be better suited to a fixed wig structure for easier wearing and maintenance. Detachable bangs can also be used when the front hairstyle needs extra flexibility while keeping the back part stable.

Step 6:Wig Styling & Customer Confirmation
Styling the wig to match the character.
After the wig structure has been confirmed, we move into the wig styling stage. The wig is trimmed, shaped, and adjusted according to the character’s hairstyle, including bangs, side hair, length, volume, silhouette, and other visible hair details.
Character Hairstyle
Styled according to references
We style the wig based on the character references, paying attention to the overall shape, front bangs, side hair, back silhouette, color impression, and recognizable hairstyle features.
Styling Process
Trimmed and shaped by hand
The wig is adjusted by hand to better fit the mask and the selected wig structure. Depending on the design, this may include trimming, shaping, layering, hardening, or special styling work.
Customer Confirmation
Progress is shared for review
After the main styling work is completed, we share the wig progress with the customer. You can review the hairstyle and request adjustments related to the current wig styling stage.
You can review the wig styling before final assembly.
This checkpoint allows the customer to check whether the hairstyle matches the character’s feeling. Feedback can focus on styling details such as bangs, hair volume, side shape, visible length, silhouette, and other wig-related details that can still be adjusted at this stage.
Note: revision requests at this stage should focus on the wig styling itself. Changes to the previously confirmed wig structure may be difficult once styling and assembly have already started.
Step 7:Final Photos & Shipping
Final photos before shipping.
After the mask, wig, and final details are completed, we take finished photos for the customer to review. Once the final confirmation is completed, we record the packing process, carefully pack the mask, and prepare it for shipment.
Final Photos
Finished look is shared
We take photos of the completed kigu mask so the customer can review the final appearance, including the face, wig, overall styling, and visible finished details.
Customer Confirmation
Final check before packing
The final photos are used as the last confirmation checkpoint before shipment. This helps make sure the completed mask has been reviewed before it is packed.
X Photo Sharing
Please tell us if you prefer privacy
We may share photos of the completed work on X: @kiglover_site. If you do not want us to post photos of your commission, please let us know at this step.
Packing Video
Packing process is recorded
Before shipping, we provide a packing video to show how the completed mask is protected and placed into the package. This helps document the condition of the mask before it leaves our studio.
Packing & Shipping
Carefully packed for delivery
After confirmation and packing video recording, the mask is packed carefully to protect the face, wig, and finished parts during transportation. Shipping is then arranged according to the order details and destination.
Packing video example
This video shows an example of the packing process. For commissioned orders, we provide a packing video before shipment so the customer can see how the finished mask is protected.
Photos and packing video are provided before shipment.
This final step gives the customer a clear look at the finished commission before shipping. The final photos document the completed mask condition and styling result, while the packing video shows how the mask is protected before dispatch. If the customer does not want the finished work to be shared on X, they should tell us during this final confirmation step.
Shipping note: after the package is shipped, we recommend recording an unboxing video when receiving the parcel. This helps document the package condition and the mask condition at the time of delivery.
